Event Information: What is the Wayfair decision? It’s the Supreme Court case that has given the states a lot of power to drag companies into their state for sales tax filing. Everyone thinks it is an internet case but it isn’t restricted to internet sales at all, it applies to anyone who sells across state lines.

This presentation will review the nexus rules regarding sales and use tax compliance. It will look at the Wayfair decision and examine what it did and did not do. It will cover the rapid state responses to the case. But most importantly, practical compliance solutions will be presented for businesses that operate or even just ship product into multiple sales tax jurisdictions throughout the US. Use Tax reporting requirements will also be discussed.
